Today, we’re talking eye cream. Your eyes are very delicate so you need to make sure you’re giving them the love and attention they deserve! To help you out, here’s the Do’s and Don’ts of eye cream and a step-by-step guide to applying it on correctly!

Don’t pull on the skin! Tugging and pulling your skin may cause premature wrinkles. 

Don’t apply too much product! A pea-size amount is just right. Packing on an occlusive moisturizer (those rich, thick creams) may irritate the thin, delicate skin around your eyes. 

Don’t apply it too close to your eyes!
You want to apply eye cream around your orbital bone and gently pat the product in.

Do find a formula that works well with your skin type!
Heavy creams aren’t always necessary. Look for a product that sinks into your skin and delivers the perfect amount of hydration.

How to apply eye cream (properly!)

1. After cleansing your face and applying moisturizer, reach for your eye cream!
2. Apply a pea-sized amount to one ring finger and then gently tap your ring fingers together to evenly distribute the product. FYI: your ring fingers are perfect for this because they are the most gentle!
3. Gently tap the product along your orbital bone (feel for the bone under your eyes and under your brows!)
4. Pat yourself on the back for taking care of your delicate under eyes!
