With this month being Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we here at FaceTory are proud to highlight and celebrate the diverse and spectacular Asian cultures that are within our very own communities. 

Urban Calm was made to encapsulate a calming, loving, self-care routine in our already busy urban lifes. Being busy always means we’re out and about, so we formulated our products to contain recharging ingredients that can support the skin barrier, helping your skin, and its microbiome, flourish. The collection also takes pride in our founders’ Korean Heritage. Many of our products contain traditional Korean ingredients like the Mungbean ingredient in our Vita Serum and Korean Pear in our Gel Cleanser. 

Urban Calm also stands for mental health; we believe that while prioritizing your body’s wellness is important, it is also important to prioritize your mental health. Which is why Urban Calm has partnered with KFAM LA. KFAM LA, also known as Korean American Family Services, is a non-profit organization that aims to empower underserved Korean American and Asian Pacific Islander families through culturally responsive programs. Their resources have provided a safety net for hundreds of Asian families all over the LA area. We partnered with KFAM LA to help educate our team, customers, and readers all about mental health and prioritizing self love. 

When we first created the Urban Calm Collection, our goal was to create a simple yet effective skincare routine where you can prioritize your wants and needs. Mental health is something that our team deeply cares about so we want our actions to help educate and support our team, community, and most importantly, you!
