After the heat of summer, fall is finally here. And while we’re excited for all things autumn and ready to cozy up in sweaters with a nice hot PSL, there’s one fall feature we’re not so psyched about: autumn skin.
What is Autumn Skin?
As the weather gets colder, our skin can begin to get dryer, especially when there are harsh winds or dramatic temperatures. This can be exaggerated thanks to situations where we may leave warm cars to take walks in the cold, only to end up back inside warm buildings (or inside hot showers). This flip-flopping between temperatures can also throw our bodies off and lead to irritated autumn skin. We also have a tendency to wear more knit-wear and different fabric textures, some of which may actually add to that irritation.
How to Prevent It
On top of staying away from overly hot showers (which can remove some of your skin’s natural oils), we recommend using a product with jojoba oil in it, like our Sunflower Glow Facial Oil! Jojoba oil prevents wrinkles, dark spots, and dry skin.
