Hey FaceTory Fam,
Thanks for stopping by! Today, we'll be sharing some of our tips for dealing with eczema.
Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a skin condition that can make your skin itchy, rough, red, and uncomfortable. And although there is no cure for eczema, there are many ways to help manage it and treat it.
For now, here are some tips we have:
Always patch test if you plan to use a new product on your skin. This tip doesn't just go for people with eczema. Everyone should be doing it to be on the safe side! Don't ever slather a new product all over your face or skin without patch testing first!
Here's our blog about patch testing!
Use unscented skincare
This connects to the earlier tip. Fragrance is a common skin irritant for many people. Luckily, the skincare industry has been improving in formulations, so you can find product options that omit fragrance in the formulation! :D Just check the full ingredient list before purchasing or testing!
Wear gloves if you have eczema on your hands
Wearing gloves can help a lot when it came to touching things like cleaning products and even eating! Just make sure your hands are clean and that you are also wearing clean gloves.
Fabrics and washing
Sometimes certain fabrics can irritate your skin. Pay attention to what your skin reacts to and avoid fabrics that can make your skin feel itchy or uncomfortable. And if you just went shopping for new clothes, always wash them before wearing them!
Also, please remember to talk to a dermatologist if you want to learn more or need medical advice/input! They're there to help you ;D If you're looking for more tips about skincare, check out the blog and also our TikTok!
Thanks for reading and just keep glowing, FaceTory Fam!
