Hi FaceTory Fam! We wanted to go over some frequently asked questions about sheet masking and give TIPS on how to maximize your sheet masking experience. Read on to learn more! 💕
When should I sheet mask?
Sheet masks are great to use at night or in the morning before applying makeup. We recommend using sheet masks that are creamier and richer in essence at night so all of the nutrients can sink in while you are sleeping.
How many times a week should I sheet mask?
Currently, there is a trend in Korea when women usually sheet mask once a day, known as “1 pack 1 day”. However, the average person will sheet mask 1-2 times a week, which is sufficient to get that dewy K-beauty glow.
How long do I leave a sheet mask on for?
A common mistake beginner sheet mask users make is leaving the mask on for too long. Unless specified, make sure to leave your sheet mask on for about 15-25 minutes and never for longer than 30 minutes. Leaving sheet masks on until they dry out will actually cause a reversal effect as the sheet will begin to reabsorb the moisture from the skin.
How does it fit into my routine?
Are you wondering where sheet masks fit into the picture with all of the different toners, serums, and essences out there? There is no set golden rule because every skin type is different and what works for one skin type may not fit another skin type. The recommended routine is to cleanse, tone, sheet mask, and then moisturize afterwards.
What should I do with the extra essence?
Don’t throw it away!
The leftover essence can be used all over the arms, neck, elbows, and knees for extra moisture and nourishment. We recommend that you put it in the refrigerator to keep the essence fresh!
