Tiny Bumps and How to Get Rid of Them
Your skin has many ways of telling you what it needs and what it doesn't need. Pimples, excess oils, dryness, bumps can all be indicators of what your skin is trying to tell you! It's time to listen ~
When it comes to texture, many of us classify it as pimples, dry patches, bumps, etc. Well, this blog is here to address THE BUMPS. Yup! We're talkin' about the ones that look like they can be pimples, but maybe they're not reaaaally pimples? Is it a certain kind of pimple? HELP! 😭
So, what is it? 🧐
No worries if you're a bit confused. Let's start deciphering!
If your bumps are red, itchy, relatively small, and all in the same area then it may be Fungal Acne. If your bumps look more like blackheads or whiteheads, then you're probably dealing with Comedonal acne-- one of the most common and mild forms of acne.
Fun fact: fungal acne is not acne at all. It's a build-up of yeast on your skin which mainly happens in the hair follicles. It enjoys a nice, warm, cozy, wet climate. So let's just say that over-moisturizing is a big no-no for fungal acne.
Our tips:
If you want to get rid of those small bumps then here are our tips
- Try to figure out what type of acne, texture, or bump you're dealing with. Research, watch videos, look at reference photos! If you need help and want a more accurate answer, visit a dermatologist!
- Add or eliminate products. Make sure you're using the correct products so you can see results! Again, if you're dealing with fungal acne, then avoid over-moisturizing. If you're dealing with comedonal acne, try incorporating a chemical exfoliator.
- You can start by using one of these ingredients & don't forget to properly hydrate!
- salicylic acid
- sulfur
- urea
- niacinamide
We hope this gives you a decent glimpse into yet another type of skin issue many people deal with. So, if you're struggling, just know you're not alone! Look out for more blogs that will go into more detail ~ And remember to always listen to your skin!
